Beauty Care Needs Met On-Site

The convenience of The Jefferson’s on-site beauty salon and barber means all you have to do is walk in to get your hair and nails done. Of course, appointments are available.

The salon attracts outside clients who interact with the residents. The salon also offers aroma therapy and the owners sell their own oils in the salon. They're also artists and feature their art in the salon as well.

Fitness Right at Home

The Jefferson residents enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities, from group exercise classes four days a week, to anytime access to on-site fitness equipment.

There is on-site physical therapy which is really convenient, and the EC is nationally certified in Chair Chi.

Let Us Serve You

Enjoy restaurant-style dining served with courtesy and caring by our staff who know you. Chef-prepared meals are served every day in The Jefferson’s dining room. Sit with friends or invite your family for a special occasion in our private dining room. Each meal is designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of community members.

The chef has weekly meetings with residents to discuss the menu. Some of the chef's specialties include Skillet Wednesdays and Benedict Wednesdays. He has won multiple awards and accolades.

Make Memories Exploring the Surrounding Community

There’s so much to explore in the Middleton area and The Jefferson makes sure that residents experience as much as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events, and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.

There's a "lunch bunch" that goes out every month to try new restaurants and cuisine. And some popular bus excursions include, local Apple Orchards, Alpaca farms, Devils Lake, and Christmas Lights adventures. Various vendors visit the community for those who don’t want to go out.

Life is Never Boring

The Jefferson’s comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.

There's a herb garden that is maintained by residents with a green thumb, and the fruits of their labor are often featured in the chefs dishes. Sports lovers gather to watch football and baseball games in the dining room. There is entertainment and live music up to three times a week, nightly movies, and weekly history hour.

Pets Make Life Better

Furry friends are welcomed as residents at The Jefferson. We understand how important the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.

A few of our staff members bring their therapy pets in regularly to visit with the residents. And if you don't have a pet of your own, a little dog named Mango who is very friendly, stops at each and every resident when walking through the building. There are dog days events and the chef even prepares homemade dog treats for furry friends!

Stay Connected With Technology and WiFi

The Jefferson is equipped with WiFi access to help you stay connected throughout common areas. You can use a community desktop computer to stay up to date or connect your personal devices to the WiFi.

Young volunteers come in regularly to answer any tech questions residents may have, or teach them how to better use technology.

Travel and Adventure Is Available

The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.

The Jefferson also operates a program that lets residents get a taste of faraway countries. Once a month, residents can enjoy a themed happy hour with music, food, and presentations related to a new country. They also get a stamp in their community passport.

Lend a Helping Hand

Many residents find a sense of fulfillment in donating their time and skills to a cause close to their hearts. A group of residents make scarves for the homeless, and hats for premature babies. There are also outside volunteers that come in to help with various events.

We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.
