Beauty Care Needs Met On-Site

The convenience of Capital Place's on-site beauty salon and barber means all you have to do is walk in to get your hair and nails done. Of course, appointments are available.

Outside clients are welcome into the salon as well. And make sure to book a chair message with Jamie who comes into the salon every other week.

Fitness Right at Home

Capital Place residents enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities, from weekly group exercise classes to anytime access to on-site fitness equipment.

Fitness classes offered on-site include strength and balancing classes three times a week. Many residents enjoy going for daily walks around the property on the beautiful landscaped grounds with a 1/4 mile paved, walking path. There's also on-site physical therapy.

Let Us Serve You

Enjoy restaurant-style dining served with courtesy and caring by our staff who know you. Chef-prepared meals are served every day in Capital Place's dining room. Sit with friends or invite your family for a special occasion in our private dining room. Each meal is designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of community members.

Chef Mike holds an Associates Degree in Food Service, with a major in Professional Chef studies from SUNY at Cobleskill. He meets with residents one on one as they move in, as he wants every resident to feel welcome. He has an open door policy, and wants to make the menu a collaborative effort.

Make Memories Exploring the Surrounding Community

There’s so much to explore in the Olympia area and Capital Place makes sure that residents experience as much as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events, and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.

There are monthly casino outings, switching between the three local casinos. Residents really enjoy going out to our local buffet, as it's their favorite place to go!

Life is Never Boring

Capital Place's comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.

The community sports fans enjoy monthly tailgate parties for the Seahawks games. Special casino events take place pretty frequently, as residents love when the "casino comes to them.” The Annual Oktoberfest celebration includes a German Beer Tasting event and a visit from the local high school’s German Club to provide entertainment and socialization in German! There's an Annual Chili Cook Off and an Annual Costume Contest for Halloween.

Pets Make Life Better

Furry friends are welcomed as residents at Capital Place. We understand how important the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.

A therapy dog named Miley that comes to visit every month. She just so happens to also be a resident family member’s dog too. We have a deer that has her babies nearby every year; this year she had twins. They travel through the parking lot, snack on the bushes, and appear frequently throughout the Spring and early Summer months.

Stay Connected With Technology and WiFi

Capital Place is equipped with WiFi access to help you stay connected throughout common areas. You can use a community desktop computer to stay up to date or connect your personal devices to the WiFi.

There is also Tech Tuesdays where volunteers from the local community college assist residents with any technology issues. From phones to tablets, desktops to laptops, they've been invaluable! There are residents running around taking pictures of each other, sending Facebook messages and even using Snapchat!

Travel and Adventure Is Available

The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.

Lend a Helping Hand

Capital Place supports the local Mission by providing clothing, food, household supplies and more. There's a collection barrel in the lobby for drop offs from our community and the community at large. During the Holiday season, a number of groups come to sing Carols or just visit with residents.

We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.
