Beauty Care Needs Met On-Site

The convenience of Bethel Park's on-site beauty salon and barber means all you have to do is walk in to get your hair and nails done. Of course, appointments are available.

We have prior residents who still return to get their hair done at the salon, and any other outside clients are always welcome. In an attempt to grow business, the salon is offering $3.00 men's haircuts next month!

Fitness Right at Home

Bethel Park residents enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities, from weekly group exercise classes to anytime access to on-site fitness equipment.

There is an expansive walking trail around the community that residents do enjoy as a form of exercise as well. Genesis Rehab has an onsite office, which means residents have easy access to physical therapy. Therapists also teach exercise classes several times a week.

Let Us Serve You

Enjoy restaurant-style dining served with courtesy and caring by our staff who know you. Chef-prepared meals are served every day in Bethel Park’s dining room. Sit with friends or invite your family for a special occasion in our private dining room. Each meal is designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of community members.

The chef hosts a monthly chef meeting to discuss the menu and planning. The goal is to get resident feedback, share ideas, and make sure the menu is the best it can be. We do a regular "residents choice meal" which keeps everyone involved.

There are several dishes that residents rave about, one being the stuffed peppers. They're delish!

Make Memories Exploring the Surrounding Community

There’s so much to explore in the Bethel Park area and Bethel Park makes sure that residents experience as much as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events, and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.

You can join the "lunch bunch,” a group that goes out once a month to try different restaurants. The last outing was 15 residents going to Pasta Too, a local favorite. It’s a great opportunity to make friends with fellow foodies!

Our most popular trips are always to South Park Shops where there is a Wal-Mart, grocery store, pharmacy, dollar store, etc.. We also host a trip to the Meadows Casino the first Wednesday of every month which is always well-attended. Residents love to try their luck at the tables!

Life is Never Boring

Bethel Park's comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.

We have a community garden, one of our residents likes to maintain it. He owned a string of very popular restaurants in the Pittsburgh area in his prime, and he is still very active. He plants tomatoes, arugula, and different veggies throughout the year. The chef will use them in the dishes!

Our residents love to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers. Games during dinner time always result in small crowds at dinner! We have a resident-run football pool weekly, and everyone gets very excited if they win!

Pets Make Life Better

Furry friends are welcomed as residents at Bethel Park. We understand how important the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.

We have worked with numerous hospice companies and animal rescue organizations over time. Animal Friends comes in once a month with a therapy dog.

We have a beautiful wooded area behind our building. The residents love watching for squirrels, birds, and deer in the back.

Stay Connected With Technology and WiFi

Bethel Park is equipped with WiFi access to help you stay connected throughout common areas. You can use a community desktop computer to stay up to date or connect your personal devices to the WiFi.

Kenzie Welty, our REC is exceptional with our residents. She hosts Tech Tuesday every Tuesday morning at 10am. She covers an assortment of topics from using the internet, downloading new apps, listening to music on your phone. Many of our residents bring their phones down for her Q&A, and ask her for specific help with using their devices.

Travel and Adventure Is Available

The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.

Lend a Helping Hand

We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.

Many outside volunteers from all different age ranges visit us weekly or more. We welcome anyone who would like to spend their time enhancing the lives of our resident base! In fact, our horse racing on Mondays is lead by very dedicated volunteers.
