For those without their own pet, the community has adopted a resident pet, a border collie named Brandi, as their own. She is well-behaved and loves treats! Lend a Helping Hand
Many residents find a sense of fulfillment in donating their time and skills to a cause close to their hearts.
We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.
A few of the charities residents are involved with are Halifax Hospital Baby Ward, Humane Society, Guardian ad Litem, and different events for the troops. Outside volunteers come in places such as Tomoka Youth Group, Tomoka Christian Church, Riverbend Church, Prince of Peace, and Boy Scouts. Residents also organize school supplies drives for Pathways Elementary School.
Volunteering is a huge part of our community culture, and we're proud to have it that way.
