With stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains, this gated retirement community offers a truly unique independent senior living experience. Named for the idyllic city imagined by King Arthur, The Camelot looks like a castle. Located on 5-acres with a citrus orchard on the rim of a residential area, the facility is 5 minutes to healthcare and shopping, including the Hemet Valley Medical Center just 1.5 miles away.

Hemet, CA offers a variety of adventures for venturing out in the San Jacinto Valley. See a show 4 miles away at the Ramona Bowl Amphitheater, home to California's official outdoor play "Ramona." Experience nature at over 10 parks within 5 miles of The Camelot. As the song goes, "In short there's simply not/A more congenial spot/For happily-ever-aftering than/Here in Camelot!"

The Camelot is an award-winning, independent senior living community. Awards include the 2020 Great Place to Work certification, the 2019 Great Place to Work certification, and the 2018 Great Place to Work certification.

Beauty Care Needs Met On-Site

The convenience of The Camelot's on-site beauty salon and barber means all you have to do is walk in to get your hair and nails done. Of course, appointments are available.

Our salon operator has a robust external clientele. Many of them are friends of The Camelot and join us for Spotlight events.

Fitness Right at Home

The Camelot's residents enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities, from weekly group exercise classes to anytime access to on-site fitness equipment.

We have a beautiful orchard on our property that has a paved walk about. There's a group of residents that walk daily at 9 am, and earn Camelot Bucks in the process. The community also has a pool, in the summer you'll find people doing laps, or attending the water exercise classes we offer.

Let Us Serve You

Enjoy restaurant-style dining served with courtesy and caring by our staff who know you. Chef-prepared meals are served every day in The Camelot's dining room. Sit with friends or invite your family for a special occasion in our private dining room. Each meal is designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of community members.

The dining council provides input on meals weekly and add new resident choices weekly based on the input. Monthly kitchen tours are conducted for interested residents and a weekly chef’s table is held, where residents can eat with the chef. We do fun resident barbecues pool side and have a soda bar with soft serve ice cream, snow cones, roller grill items, and cotton candy that we enjoy on special occasions.

Make Memories Exploring the Surrounding Community

There’s so much to explore in the Hemet area, and The Camelot makes sure that residents get to experience as much of it as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.

Tempt Lady Luck at the Soboba Casino, a popular destination many residents enjoy. Another place residents enjoy is touring Temecula Valley’s gorgeous wine country and sampling vintages from over 30 local wineries. Daily buses take residents of The Camelot out for shopping and appointments .

Life is Never Boring

The Camelot's comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.

We have a community garden and grow a variety of flowers and plants. We also have an annual “planting” event where our residents pot their own plants. Poker has become a HUGE draw in the community. It is resident run and we are now playing 3 days a week. A local community college comes and conducts Sip and Paint in our orchard.

Pets Make Life Better

Furry friends are welcomed as residents at The Camelot. We understand how important the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.

There's a community dog park where all the resident dogs get together to run around and play. Once a year we bring in a petting zoo with pony rides for the kids, they love it!

Stay Connected With Technology and WiFi

The Camelot is equipped with WiFi access to help you stay connected throughout common areas. You can use a community desktop computer to stay up to date or connect your personal devices to the WiFi.

Residents with laptops, tablets or other digital devices can rely on some useful technical tips, help and advice every week on Tech Tuesdays, when most minor problems can be fixed or figured out. Our receptionist, Gabe, is a tech wiz and has helped set up computers, as well as devices like Amazon Echo to let residents operate phones, music, and tv through voice control.

Travel and Adventure Is Available

The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.

Lend a Helping Hand

Residents provide donations for back to school supplies and when the collection period is over, they travel on the community bus to a local elementary school and present to the children. The community also supports our troops through putting together gift boxes to send to service men and women overseas. We do this 3x a year. There's great support for Knots of Love, and some residents knit hats for premature babies at the local hospital.

Residents run the library, and have elevated the experience by making the space so beautiful, and ensuring our books are rotated and well displayed.
