Keeping You Informed
Our commitment to helping older people live better means sharing important and timely information to help you make an informed decision to live in a Holiday community. Monarch Estates operates with extensive protocols that mitigate the spreading of COVID-19. If a resident tests positive for COVID-19, we notify residents and their designated contacts, our employees, and the local health department. In addition, the number of active cases is shared here. We are so proud of our team’s efforts and hard work to protect our community. See here for more information on our prevention and response measures.

Fitness Right at Home
Monarch Estates residents enjoy a variety of health and fitness activities, from weekly group exercise classes to anytime access to on-site fitness equipment.
Residents can participate in daily Sit and Be Fit classes led by residents or workout on the Nordic Track, reclining bike or treadmill. Weekly Zumba and Tai Chi classes are also available. Enjoy strolling the on-site walking paths throughout the spacious grounds. Lighted paths encourage residents to enjoy the beautiful grounds, including the Veteran’s garden, a project completed by a local Eagle Scouts troop.
Let Us Serve You
Enjoy restaurant-style dining served with courtesy and care by our staff who know you. Chef-prepared meals are served every day in Monarch Estates' dining room. Sit with friends or invite your family for a special occasion in our private dining room. Each meal is designed to meet the unique nutritional needs of community members.
The Chef has won many awards including Chef of the Year - Region 2 and multiple Chef of the Month awards. A monthly round table allows the chef to receive feedback from residents regarding the menu and meals, including favorite dishes like Southern Fried Chicken and California Grilled Chicken.
Make Memories Exploring the Surrounding Community
There’s so much to explore in the Auburn area and Monarch Estates makes sure that residents experience as much as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events, and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.
Residents enjoy weekly trips to the mall and dining out at local restaurants every Monday. During football season, if they’re not having their own tailgate party and watching the game at home, residents like to cheer on the Auburn Tigers at the University. Other popular destinations are The Heart of Dixie Train Museum and the farmers market.
Life is Never Boring
Monarch Estates’ comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.
Residents love playing Bingo, Bridge, Blackjack and bean bag baseball. The Movie Club and Music Lover’s Club are also favorites among the residents. And if you have a green thumb, there's a community garden looking for caretakers!
Pets Make Life Better
Furry friends are welcomed as residents at Monarch Estates. We understand how important the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets is. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.
Doggy stations are set up along the community's walkways for resident pets. Residents love when therapy animals come to the community to play and cuddle!
Stay Connected with Technology and Wifi
Monarch Estates is fully equipped with Wi-Fi access to help you connect to friends, family and important information. You can use a community desktop to stay up-to-date or connect your personal devices to the Wi-Fi in common areas throughout, so you'll never miss a thing. There is also a resident computer in the multimedia room.
Outside volunteers come to the community and teach residents how to better use technology and answer any questions they may have.
Travel and Adventure is Always Available
The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.
Lend a Helping Hand
We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.
The residents at Monarch enjoy their Sunday Ice Cream Social with local high school students, and decorating for the holidays with local children.
Join us for a Complimentary Meal
At Holiday Retirement, we love our food and know you will too. We invite you and a guest to join us for a flavorful meal and the opportunity to see first-hand if independent retirement living is right for you.
