John Hetzel, Vice President of Culinary

John’s 30-year career is shaped by a love of food and people. His path has led through restaurants, hotels and aviation to land at Atria, where he blends hands-on kitchen experience with large-scale hospitality leadership to create meaningful dining experiences for residents. A culinary institute graduate, John has twice cooked and served at the famed James Beard Foundation in New York City. After work, he enjoys tennis and golf, coaching Special Olympics and spending time with family.
