What is included in rent?
A number of amenities and services are included in rent at Holiday Retirement communities:
- Three chef-prepared meals -Let us handle the grocery shopping, food preparation, and the clean-up of dishes. Your only responsibility is to relax and enjoy each meal!
Housekeeping and linen service - Our cleaning and sanitizing measures in common areas exceed industry standards. Weekly, your room is cleaned and linens are replaced. We even include the toilet paper and trash bags!
Maintenance - All repairs and maintenance issues handled on site by a maintenance team.
Utilities - Bundled expenses alleviates the stress of managing multiple bills.
Transportation - Complimentary scheduled transportation to errands, appointments, shoppings, and outings. Transportation is always free to use, while many of our competitors charge a fee.
Daily activities - Fun activities aimed at physical, mental, and social well-being. A wide range of choices allow residents to select what suits their personal interests.
GPS enabled emergency response device - All Holiday residents receive a Lively Mobile Plus device at no additional cost to them.
Travel and Stay program - Spend your retirement traveling safely with Holiday! Stay for free* up to seven days at any Holiday community.
TeleHealth - TeleHealth is included as a way to speak to a certified healthcare provider from the comfort of your couch.
Total Brain Health - Fun, group-based brain training for staying sharp!
- Ambassador Program - Residents can become ambassadors at their community to welcome new residents and assist residents who need help.
- Welcome Home Program - Highlights a focused, team approach to prepare and welcome new residents.

What is the community fee?
With Holiday's unique all-inclusive lifestyle comes a range of offering. These offerings include but are not limited to resident services, a well-maintained building, your new apartment, and happy and engaged staff. The list goes on! The one-time community fee payment is distributed throughout the community to support our focus on continuous improvement. It's just that simple! Our community fee is distributed based on that community's need. This one-time fee helps us keep those promises. It also helps us as we seek continuous improvement in all we do. The community fee varies by community. Contact the individual community for prices.
Do you offer specials or discounts?
As the oldest and largest independent senior living company in the country, Holiday has always been focused on providing quality senior living at an affordable price. We are constantly reviewing each market to keep our rates competitive and affordable. On occasion individual communities may offer a special or discount.
What is the square footage of apartments?
Each community has different floor plans and apartment sizes. We range from studios just under 400 square feet to 2 bedrooms at well over 1,000 square feet. Is Independent Living Right for Me?
Can family visit?
Yes. We operate as an independent living apartment building. Family and friends are welcomed to visit you. Enjoy a walk on a community walking path, relax on benches strategically placed throughout the manicured grounds, or use the community private dining room for a special dinner. Can I have pets?
Yes, for a nominal pet fee. At Holiday, we understand the important role pets play in our lives and welcome them into our independent senior living communities as family. We welcome all kinds of pets into our communities like dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and more. Some of our communities even have dog parks.
