Our residents especially enjoy our chef's fried chicken, grits and Chicken Cacciatore. The chef holds a monthly roundtable conversation with residents to discuss cuisine and take in ideas. Our chef has won awards at the regional level.

There’s so much to explore in the Austin area and Renaissance-Austin makes sure that residents experience as much as possible. Regular outings to favorite restaurants, local events, and more introduce residents to all their neighborhood has to offer and connect them to the surrounding community.

Our residents enjoy outings to a local winery, playhouses and theaters, museums, and venues for big band and country western music.

Renaissance-Austin's comprehensive calendar is packed with both recurring activities and special events. The variety of available activities is meant to enrich the whole person by stimulating physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, creative, social or vocational wellness.

Our residents can plant in a community garden. They gather to play trivia, ban bag baseball, sing karaoke and enjoy happy hour.

Furry friends are welcomed as residents at Renaissance-Austin. We understand the importance of the companionship and bond that seniors share with their pets. We’re delighted to have cats, dogs, birds, and even bunnies as part of our community.

Our community regularly enjoys visits from off-site therapy animals. Monthly pet playdates are in the works, and a family of deer visit the community each morning.

Renaissance-Austin residents enjoy WiFi access throughout the entire building, as well as a computer for resident use. Renaissance-Austin is highly responsive when it comes to resident needs for technology.

Our residents enjoy a "Tech Tuesday" program where they can have all their technology needs addressed.

The exclusive Travel & Stay program offers residents exciting opportunities to travel around the country, with free stays of up to seven days at any of Holiday Retirement’s more than 260 communities. Three chef-prepared meals are included with each trip. Visit all 43 states or just choose a favorite new location or two.

Renaissance-Austin operates its own travel program that lets residents get a taste of faraway countries. Once a month, residents can enjoy a themed happy hour with music, food and presentations related to a new country. They also get a stamp in their community passport.

At Renaissance-Austin, many residents find a sense of fulfillment in donating their time and skills to a cause close to their hearts. The community hosts school supply drives and volunteers with children. The Busy Hands Club knits and crochets hats to hospitals for newborns. Many high school groups visit the community regularly to volunteer.

We have empowered residents to become resident ambassadors. These individuals have often lived in the community for quite some time and enjoy helping new residents get acclimated to senior living. They encourage new residents to take their time settling in and them feel comfortable in their new home.
